Pilot Plant for Hydrogen Production and
By-product Processing Project
A team of Mongolian scientists conducted tests on coal gasification and gasification activity at 12 coal deposits across Mongolia. The test results indicated a high gasification activity of brown coal in the Dornod region. This conclusion was confirmed by a preliminary joint Japan-Mongolia study. Additionally, it is possible to increase extraction by injecting carbon dioxide into oil wells for sequestration or to reduce the viscosity of oil.
